Halleluiah!

Since its inception Cathedral Grammar and the ChristChurch Cathedral have been inseparable.

While a school established to provide choristers for a cathedral is not unique, there is only one other choir school in the southern hemisphere, so we think it is pretty special.

It’s another important Cathedral Grammar difference, and something of which we are very proud.

Anglican values run right through Cathedral Grammar. The spiritual development of each child is as important to us as the provision of a top quality education, and a cultural and sporting start in life.

Of course, our pupils will ultimately make up their own minds about the role the spiritual world will play in their lives just as their parents and grandparents have done before them.

Our role is to give pupils the best possible start through an awareness of the richness and depth in spiritual life, giving them the context, appreciation and values for the decisions they will make in future.

And there can’t be more inspiring examples for young people than having, in their midst, Cathedral choristers who make faith such a wonderful celebration.
