Overview of Cathedral Grammar
The Cathedral Grammar School provides high quality education for pre-school, primary school and intermediate aged girls and boys. Cathedral Grammar is an Anglican independent school, offering parents choice in the selection of a school to best suit their child's needs.
Our small class sizes and superb facilities mean children receive more individual, personalised attention from highly qualified teachers.
The unique school structure enables girls and boys to learn in both co-educational (mixed) and single-sex learning environments at times when this best suits their learning styles.
Our Pre-School is a modern daycare facility, purpose-built to create a safe, well-resourced physical learning environment to aid your child's learning.
The Cathedral Grammar School is unique amongst Christchurch primary schools. Our primary school structure is designed to ensure each child receives the most appropriate and effective education possible.
Increasingly, many parents are choosing to send their daughters to The Cathedral Grammar School for their Intermediate years. The strong academic reputation of the School, and high degree of specialist opportunities, ensures that each girl is as well prepared as possible for her secondary school years.
An extra Year 7 class is established each year, providing intermediate enrolments opportunities for up to 16 boys. When combined with the previous years Year 6 class of 24, the Year 7 cohort is divided into two classes.
