Our School Intermediate School
The Cathedral Grammar’s Intermediate School for Year 7 and Year 8 students is a popular entry point for parents who recognize the benefit of focused preparation at intermediate school level, to gain entry into preferred high schools.
Year 7 and 8 students are integrated into our Prep School which consists of two specialist single-sex preparatory schools. The Girls' Prep School and the Boys' Prep School operate as separate, but in every way parallel, schools.
Research has shown that children are more receptive when teaching methods actively engage their gender. This is because girls and boys develop at different rates and in different ways, both cognitively and socially. Both prep schools are located on the one campus, providing opportunities for interaction.
